Dr. Radoslaw Stefan Kiesz is world-renowned for his work in cardiology and endovascular interventions. Since receiving his medical degree from the Medical Academy of Warsaw in 1977, Dr. Kiesz has been instrumental in propelling the field forward, including patenting groundbreaking medical devices and surgical techniques. Dr. Kiesz has worked in numerous positions as a research fellow, been the Medical Director of Stone Oak Center for Angiography & Interventions, and taught students as Adjunct Professor of Medicine/Cardiology at the University of Texas Health Science Center. He also served as associate professor and chief of interventional cardiology at Audie Murphy VA between 1991 and 2000, utilizing cutting-edge techniques to save the lives of veterans.

1981 - 1st Award, International Meeting of Interventional Cardiologists, Moscow, Russia
1983 - Performed the first successful, life-saving balloon angioplasty in a patient in cardiogenic shock.
1990s - Pioneered unprotected left main stenting. First to perform carotid and coronary interventions simultaneously. Introduced rotational atherectomy to Japan, Poland, and other countries.
2000 - First successful local drug delivery and stenting, which opened the door to drug-eluting stents.
2001 - Dr. Kiesz’s greatest achievement; designed and co-founded American Heart of Poland (AHP), which helped to decrease mortality from heart attacks by tenfold in Poland over two decades. This is the most modern and effective healthcare company that works with the government of Poland, providing care in underserved areas.
Early 2000s - Pioneered below-knee atherectomies, saving limbs from amputation. Served as faculty in global cardiovascular and endovascular conferences.
2008 - Pioneered outpatient coronary and peripheral interventions, decreasing cost and increasing quality of patient care.
